MCC Women Remain Undefeated; Shut Out STCC 3-0
Springfield, MA (September 10) – The MCC Women’s soccer team remained unbeaten after shutting out Springfield Technical CC 3-0 in Springfield Wednesday afternoon. It was the third consecutive shutout on the road in as many tries for the Cougars who improve to 4-0 in Region XXI and overall.
Lindsay Estok (Midletown), Ashley Boudle (Windsor) and Kyle Roncaioli (West Hartford) each scored their first goal of the year. Leading scorer Brittany Finger (Enfield) assisted on the first two goals of the game for the Cougars who have allowed just one goal during their four-game, season opening winning streak.
Morehouse went the distance in the MCC net, making 13 saves including a second half penalty kick where she dove to her right to preserve the shutout. The Cougars have allowed just one goal (vs. Holyoke at home) in four games.
MCC plays a pair of home games over the weekend. On Saturday, Hesser College will visit for a 12 PM game and on Sunday, Bunker Hill CC will be on campus for a Region XXI game starting at 1pm.
