There are a number of ways to make a gift to the Manchester Community College Foundation. They are outlined below. To connect with a staff member about contributing to MCC Foundation please email Diana Reid.
Cash, Checks and Credit Cards
Gifts of cash can be put to use immediately if given for current operations. If gifts of cash are given for endowment, they can begin earning usable interest as soon as they are received. Checks should be made payable to the Manchester Community College Foundation. Gifts may also be made by credit card: American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa.

Pledges
Multi-year pledges enable donors to meet their specific financial needs. By extending payments over time, donors may be able to increase the size of their gift. Typically, pledges are arranged for two to three years, but commitments beyond that time frame may also be arranged.
Securities
The benefit of a gift of appreciated securities is two-fold: it can be put to use immediately for the college and, for the donor, tax deductions may be possible. Often, the donor may deduct the full market value of appreciated securities if the stocks have been held for longer than six months.
Matching Gifts
Each year, more than 1,000 U.S companies match the philanthropic efforts of their employees, doubling or even tripling the impact of a single gift. A company’s human resources office is the best source for information about corporate matching gift programs.

Gifts-in-Kind
The college needs all manner of supplies, equipment or materials in order to operate. In consultation with the college, a donor can determine how this type of gift can best benefit academic programs.
Benches, Bricks, Building Spaces and Seat Plaques
Celebrate a graduation or anniversary, commemorate a birth or wedding, or memorialize a loved one. Engraved bricks are placed in the William R. Johnson Library Garden, benches are situated throughout campus and seat plaques are installed in the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium.
Scholarships
Support for student scholarships is a way to ensure that every student who wants to study at MCC is offered an opportunity. Scholarships may be funded annually or endowed. Donate today »
Deferred Gifts
Life Insurance
A donor may make a gift of life insurance to the college simply by designating the MCC Foundation as the beneficiary.
Bequests
Bequests provide a lasting legacy for the college. By recognizing MCC in a will or other instrument, a donor may ensure that his or her philanthropic intentions are well met. Such a gift can benefit the donor’s estate, as well, often providing a charitable tax deduction while reducing the size of the taxable estate.
Other Deferred Gifts
Charitable annuities and trusts are important ways that a donor can ensure that MCC best benefits from his or her gifts. Because of the complexity of these vehicles, it is recommended that the donor’s attorney or financial planner consult with the MCC Foundation before executing such instruments.
