Learning new subject matter can be a struggle, and sometimes you may need a little help. The Academic Support Center can equip you with the right strategies needed to improve your skills in writing, critical thinking, studying, mathematics, or course content.

Important Announcement:

If you cannot keep your appointment:  cancellations must be made at least two hours prior to the scheduled appointment time to avoid it being recorded as a “No-Show.”  More than three No-Shows in a semester may result in loss of tutoring privileges.

Learning Assistance On Campus and Online

All services are free to currently enrolled students.

Working with our supportive tutors and staff, you can develop your personal and academic skills and confidence in a friendly, learner-centered environment. Tutoring is available on campus and online.

Our Programs

Academic Tutoring

The Academic Support Center offers individual and facilitated small-group tutoring free of charge to current Manchester Community College students in courses they are presently taking.

Writing Center

The Writing Center is a place to write. Tutors are available on a walk-in basis to assist students while they are engaged in the writing process.

Walk-In Math Tutoring

Walk-in math tutoring is an alternative to an individual appointment with a mathematics tutor.  Tutors are available on a walk-in basis.

Online Tutoring

eTutoring is available online to Manchester Community College students in writing, mathematics, accounting, biology, chemistry, psychology, Western civilization,  information literacy and research methods.

ESL Conversation/Grammar Lab

Faculty and tutors lead an open discussion designed for students wishing to engage in dialog for the purpose of strengthening their English comprehension and verbal skills.

Calculator Loan Program

The Calculator Loan Program is now managed by the campus library.  Please contact the library during their office hours for information.

Computer Mini-Lab

The Computer Mini-Lab is located inside the ASC. Eight computers are available for students who wish to enhance their technology skills. Tutors are available by appointment to answer questions or provide guidance.
