MCC 74 Holyoke 67
MANCHESTER, CT– The Manchester Community College Women’s basketball team scored 12 unanswered points to start the second half and beat Holyoke CC 74-67 Tuesday night at East Catholic.
MCC (10-2) was led by Katurah Andrews (East Hartford) who scored a season high 21 points while Shanika Hines (Manchester) had 20 points, including four three-pointers. Stephanie White scored a game- high 26 points for HCC (6-5).
The Cougars of Holyoke scored six unanswered points to start the game, but the Cougars of MCC battled back and took their first lead of the game with 1.1 seconds left in the first half and went to the locker room with a 27-26 lead.
Andrews and Erika Murphy (Torrington) played strong defensive games for MCC.
