The following events will be held at Manchester Community College during the month of September.

St. Joseph College and the Connecticut Community Colleges have entered into a dual admission program and expanded educational opportunities for community college students. The Weekend Program for Adult Learners at St. Joseph College will accept graduates from all twelve community colleges in the fields of Accounting, Management, Social Work or Psychology.

Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez, a resident of East Hartford, has been appointed Principal at Great Path Academy, a middle college high school located at Manchester Community College.

Congressman John Larson has initiated a two part series on Manufacturing Jobs in Connecticut. The first part was held at Manchester Community College on August 23, 2011. The first part was a discussion on the health of manufacturing in Connecticut with invited panelists.

Senator Blumenthal visited MCC on Monday,August 8 and met with students, faculty and staff regarding college readiness and student support programs.

Since 2009, a parcel of land on the campus of MCC has been used for 39 community gardens.

Dr. Negussie Tirfessa, professor of Physics at MCC, was recently named the Best.Teacher.Ever! by ITVS, an affiliate of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
