Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in graphic design and interactive media, or a related technical or creative discipline required. Experience with user experience/user interface design is required. Teaching experience at the college level is strongly recommended. An understanding of the mission of the community college and a demonstrated ability to respond to and work with multiple constituencies and involvement in support of a culturally and ethnically diverse population are required. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated must put in writing precisely how their experience has prepared them for the responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

Instruction for designing and creating user-centered design and interactive media including websites and mobile applications. This course will involve various usability aspects of interaction including working with social media platforms. The course also includes a broad overview of critical topics within the cultural requirements of interface design and content management systems. Familiarity with visual design considerations, human-computer dialog and time-based media required.

Minimum Salary/Compensation

Studio: 6 hours per week $1,546–$1,663 per semester contact hour
