Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in game design or development, or a related technical or creative discipline required. Experience with graphics and animation software, particularly the Unity game engine is required. Teaching experience at the college level is strongly recommended.
An understanding of the mission of the community college and a demonstrated ability to respond to and work with multiple constituencies and involvement in support of a culturally and ethnically diverse population are required.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated must put in writing precisely how their experience has prepared them for the responsibilities of this position.
ResponsibilitiesInstruction for designing and creating 3D games. This course will involve working with the Unity game engine and will require instruction of creating and editing 3D assets and levels within Unity, some work with the internal programming language within Unity, the workflow for bringing 3D assets into Unity from 3D Modeling software (Autodesk Maya) and accepted Industry practices for developing and deploying 3D Game Levels and games.
Minimum Salary/CompensationStudio: 6 hours per week
$1,546–$1,663 per semester contact hour
