Minimum QualificationsAn associate degree in an appropriately related field together with two years of related experience, or a combination of education, training and experience that leads to the competencies required for successful performance of the position duties. The successful candidate should have demonstrated fundamental knowledge of student records practices and methods used in higher education; demonstrated skills in operating computerized and manual systems for collecting, preserving and reporting student information; strong information technology literacy skills; and the ability to interact favorably with faculty, administrators, staff, students and the community. Applicants should also have excellent attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrated understanding of the the mission of the community college and the ability to work with culturally and ethnically diverse population.
Experience with the following web-based programs - Banner, Degree Works, Microsoft Office Suite - and strong customer service skills is preferred.

ResponsibilitiesThe Registration Services Assistant will work closely with the Registrar and Associate Registrar to perform detailed recording, maintenance and report preparation of student records, which may include student registration; course and classroom scheduling; recording and archiving student demographic, grade, transcript and degree information; and non-credit services. The Registration Services Assistant is accountable for accurate and expeditious conduct of the registration process, and student conflict resolution, and supports the Continuing Education division with non-credit students. The person in this position will also be required to attend and participate in convocation and commencement ceremonies, serve on assigned committees and task forces, and attend and participate in committee, staff, informational and professional meetings.
The position requires working a minimum of one evening a week on Tuesdays and select Saturdays during peak enrollment periods.
The Registration Services Assistant will be expected to maintain current in their field and is required to maintain strict confidentiality of student information.
Minimum Salary/Compensation$43,039 approximate annual; 35 hours/week plus excellent benefits.
