Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in mathematics or a related area required. Teaching experience at the college level is strongly recommended. An understanding of the mission of the community college and a demonstrated ability to respond to and work with multiple constituencies and involvement in support of a culturally and ethnically diverse population are required. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated must put in writing precisely how their experience has prepared them for the responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

The Mathematics Department is seeking part-time faculty to teach courses ranging from basic math and algebra, through calculus. Lecturers who can teach during the hours between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM are needed. The math department/courses are NCTM standards-based and fully incorporate the TI-83 graphing calculator into the course curriculum.

Minimum Salary/Compensation

Per semester-hour rate: $1,631 - $1,754
