Academic Advising

Register for the right courses, build your schedule and review your academic plan.

Important: All services offered via WebEx Appointments via
Insight, E-mails, In-Person and over the phone.

All advising, counseling, transfer, student retention (academic coaching, probation, suspension, Fresh Start, PASS), and displaced workers programs (WIOA, TAA, VOC REHAB) services can be accessed online using the following features:

  • Email
  • Google Voice (calls with individual advisors/counselors)
  • Webex (individual connection with advisors/counselors and faculty via Insight)

We are here to assist you with registering for the right courses, building a balanced schedule and reviewing your academic plan. If you are undecided, we want to connect with you online about your interests and future plans.  For these reasons, we welcome your questions and/or concerns via the listed academic advising options.

Academic Advising Options

Individual Appointments

Individual appointments are focused on more complex advising and/or personal issues. You can schedule an individual online advising appointment by accessing Symplicity’s Insight (appointment  via Webex) through your myCommNet student account or filling out the contact form.

Please note that you are requesting an appointment, the request is not a confirmation. Please wait until you hear from a staff member and receive a confirmation before preparing for the phone appointment, virtual appointment or coming to the college.
