Important: All services offered in online format only.
All advising, counseling, transfer, student retention (academic coaching, probation, suspension, Fresh Start, PASS), and displaced workers programs (WIOA, TAA, VOC REHAB) services can be accessed online using the following features:
- Google Voice (calls with individual advisors/counselors)
- WebEx (individual connection with advisors/counselors and faculty via Insight)
We are still here to assist you with registering for the right courses, building a balanced schedule and reviewing your academic plan. If you are undecided, we want to connect with you online about your interests and future plans. For these reasons, we welcome your questions and/or concerns via the listed academic advising options.

Virtual Registration Sessions
Ready to register for fall classes? Join us for virtual registration, where you can meet with an advisor, pick classes and sign up for classes quickly and easily.
Virtual registration advising is open to continuing students only. New students should attend New Student Orientation.
Pre-registration is required for the day you choose. You will receive a link to access via email and then you may “drop in” between the designated event times. Most appointments take 20-30 minutes and will be taken in the order of arrival on the day of the event. If an advisor is not available when you enter the registration session, you will be placed in a waiting room until the next advisor is available.
- Thursday, July 22 from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. via Webex
- Tuesday, July 27 from 3–5 p.m. via Webex

Individual appointments are focused on more complex advising and/or personal issues. You can schedule an individual online advising appointment by accessing Insight (Webex) via your myCommNet student account or filling out the contact form.
Please note that you are requesting an appointment, the request is not a confirmation. Please wait until you hear from a staff member and receive a confirmation before preparing for the phone appointment, virtual appointment or coming to the college.
