Marketing and Public Relations

Marketing and Public Relations provides the direction for most of the creative services work for Manchester Community College. The department is structured like an advertising agency with account executives assigned to each organizational unit of the college. These individuals work with administrators, faculty and staff, students and outside vendors to design and produce print, video and interactive elements that achieve the strategic goals of the college.

The marketing department provides the following services to our clients:

  • Marketing and Public Relations Consultation
  • Creative Services (including design and photography)
  • Advertising and Promotional Campaigns
  • Video and Print Production
  • Media Relations
  • Social Media Assistance
  • Website Development and Programming

Examples of our work include: enrollment guides, brochures, posters and flyers, invitations, presentations, photographs, booklets, newspaper and TV ads, program videos, press releases, Facebook pages, events calendars and a host of other products. How to Initiate a Job

Each unit of the college is assigned an account executive. In order to initiate a job order, please contact one of the following:

A convenient time will be arranged by the account executive to discuss the scope of your project with you. Please be prepared to discuss the following: what you want to achieve, audience, objective, message, medium, tone and image, deadline, budget and approval process. You will be guided by the account executive through a series of questions to best understand your needs and desired outcomes. These questions and their answers will be used to complete the Creative Brief, which will serve as the framework and provide direction for the development of the marketing plan. The Marketing team and the account executive will confer to confirm timelines, budgets, etc., and to assign and schedule the job.
