The Disability Specialist program provides educational opportunities for students currently employed in and those interested in working in, the disability field. The program emphasizes the unique gifts and skills that people with disabilities, regardless of their age, bring to society. Its underlying philosophy is the belief that people with disabilities are an integral part of any and all communities and, by working together, people with disabilities and those who support them can create an unbeatable team.

Course work prepares students to assist children and adults with disabilities to realize their potential and achieve the goals of community inclusion and participation.
