On November 14, the U.S. Department of Commerce, CT District Export Council, CTSBDC, Manchester Community College, Stronger International, Women's Business Center and UCONN (CIBER) sponsored a seminar on export documentation basics. It was designed to help Connecticut firms learn how to prepare, process and navigate export documentation, and focused on the principal documents required for exports shipments. It also included some tips on how to navigate export.gov and find useful information. The understanding of the various types of export documents and how they are used has helped many companies streamline their internal processes, simplifying the export process, and leading to increased profits. The seminar also included a lunch and learn session on “GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation briefing, What You Need To Know?” Panelists included Robert Gresham, RJ Gresham Associates LLC (Moderator); Jose A.P. Abrantes, Global Trade Compliance Manager, OFS; and Deb McFadden, Director of Business Development, Stronger International.
