Sixth Annual Hall of Fame Brunch/Valentine's Day
February 14, 2016
Supporters of Manchester Community College joined MCC Foundation board members and college faculty and staff in honoring distinguished members of the community last Sunday, February 14, at the sixth annual “Hall of Fame” brunch. This year’s honorees were Gary D. Lavigne, Esq., and Betsy K. Treiber, 2016 recipients of the Extraordinary Volunteer Service award; and Dr. Robert Fish and Mrs. Joyce Fish ’81 as 2016 Investors of the Year. Foundation board member JoAnn Thulin served as master of ceremonies, and she and board secretary Elizabeth W. Benavides presented Lavigne and Treiber with their awards. MCC President Gena Glickman presented the Investor of the Year award to the Fishes, who could not attend in person but sent an audio message of thanks. A guest student speaker, Dylan Waddington, related her story of student success through the MCC Honors College, which she told attendees inspired her to challenge herself and realize her full potential. Each year, MCC Foundation honors individuals or groups who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to Manchester Community College. This year’s “Hall of Fame” brunch was held at A Villa Louisa in Bolton, Conn.
