MANCHESTER, Conn. (November 19, 2019) — Following Thanksgiving, keep the holiday spirit going with a lavish seven-course dinner. Join MCC’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management students and faculty to explore the cuisines of Italy with a dinner prepared and served by the students. The dinner is Wednesday, December 4, beginning at 6 p.m.
The menu features charcuterie meats, cheese and pickled vegetables with focaccia as the antipasto; a pasta dish with wild mushroom ricotta and walnut tortellini with marinara and basil-chive oil; seafood risotto with shellfish and saffron cream; orange basil granita; green-olive encrusted rack of lamb with wilted kale and garlic-fennel whipped potatoes; classic caprese salad with balsamic glaze; and roasted figs and tiramisu ice cream and a cookie.
The special evening will take place in the dining room of the college’s Culinary Arts Center, located on the second floor of the Student Services Center. All proceeds go to the MCC Foundation, which will manage the funds for the benefit of the program’s students.
