Part-time Lecturer Position

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in English or a related area required. Teaching experience at the college level is strongly recommended.

An understanding of the mission of the community college and a demonstrated ability to respond to and work with multiple constituencies and involvement in support of a culturally and ethnically diverse population are required.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated must put in writing precisely how their experience has prepared them for the responsibilities of this position.


Responsibilities

The English Department is seeking part-time faculty to teach courses ranging from Developmental English, to College Composition, to Advanced Composition (research writing). Lecturers who can teach during the hours between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM are especially needed.


Minimum Salary/Compensation

$1,546–$1,663 per semester contact hour
