Disability Awareness Day
April 25, 2017
At an awards presentation today, April 25, at MCC’s Disability Awareness Day, Ed Hogan and Maura O’Connor, professors in MCC’s graphic design program, were presented with the Dr. Jonathan M. Daube Award for Inclusion and Accessibility. They received this year’s award for “your commitment to all of your students, especially students with disabilities for whom you have consistently given extra care and attention,” as stated in the citations on their plaques they each received. As part of the event, a panel of students with disabilities discussed their experiences at MCC and a video of a Ted Talk entitled “I’m Not Your Inspiration” was shown.
