MLK Day of Service Grants 2016

Funded by a Campus Compact grant of $1,000, Sandra Jenkins’ International Foods students packaged 4,000 meal kits (rice, lentils and salt) during their January 26 class. The packages will be made available to people in Haiti and Nairobi through the non-profit organization, Feeding Children Everywhere. The students participated in the service learning experience as part of their observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
