The Evening of Fine Food and Friends began as the Evening of Fine Wines, an event conceived as a fundraiser to benefit Manchester Community College in 1992 by a small group of MCC faculty and staff. Wine was central to the event, bolstered by a donation from the collection of Vincent and Geraldine Lesunaitis in 1998. Today, the fundraiser has grown to a campus-wide and community event drawing approximately 400 attendees annually. Foodservice has always been provided by the students of the MCC Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management programs. Their contribution is so great that the event title was changed to include the feature of the event: FOOD! The change was made to better reflect the contributions of these students. Much appreciation is extended to the many people, businesses and organizations who make this event possible through their generous donations and support!
The event includes wine and craft brew tasting tables, delicious hors-d’oeuvres, music and dancing and an awesome silent auction featuring dining, adventure, date-nights, and fine wine lots.
