The Common Read Presents: A Panel Discussion on Cultural Idenity

MCC's Common Read for 2017-2018 kicks off with a panel discussion on cultural identity. Join us for MCC's Common Read 2017-18 kick-off, as faculty, students, staff members, and local scholars explore passages and themes from Jhumpa Lahiri's "The Namesake" and reflect on how the experiences of the characters might transcend the text and help us better understand our campus and local communities. College of Liberal Arts in North Adams. 8:00 PM: Jazz with Stephen Haynes, cornet and flugelhorn, leading a quartet. Haynes is a composer, improviser and organizer of jazz performances at Real Art Ways in Hartford. His 2016 quintet release is "Pomegranate."
