Information for New Students

New students will complete a three-hour New Student Orientation session.  This orientation will teach all new students how to navigate the catalog, understand their program requirements and use the web-based registration tools.  Students will register at the orientation session, so should be prepared to make payment.  After registration, they will meet with representatives from Student Activities to learn about student life at MCC. For questions, please call 860-512-3320.

Information for General Studies Students

Transfer and continuing students with any college credits who are pursuing a General Studies degree need to connect with their assigned advisors within the First Year and New Student Programs office, SSC L108, or call 860-512-3320 to schedule an appointment.

Information for Liberal Arts Students

Transfer and continuing students with any college credits who are pursuing a Liberal Arts and Science degree need to connect with their assigned advisors within the First Year and New Student Programs office, SSC L108, or call 860-512-3320 to schedule an appointment.

The mission of First Year and New Student Programs is to provide confidential, responsive advisement to our highly diverse student population. Academic advisors use a developmental model that focuses on the personal and academic growth of our student population.
