Computer Repair and Share Club

We are a nonprofit student club that provides computer services to current Manchester Community College students.

Free Repair and Diagnostic Services

Services are provided on a walk-in basis and include:

  • Virus removal and protection
  • Hardware repair and cleaning
  • Software installation and other services
  • Resource for commonly asked questions

While  services are free, donations are greatly appreciated. If you are interested in making a donation, please contact the club by email.

Free Computers

The club also reconditions donated computers and makes them available to MCC students through a lottery system.

Computers  come installed with Windows 10, Chrome, Firefox, Malwarebytes, Avira and Open Office. Specifications on each computer may vary, but all will have enough memory, storage and performance for Internet access and desktop applications. Peripherals including mice, keyboards, and monitors are available on a first come, first served basis.

Any MCC student can participate! To enter the lottery for a free computer, students need to complete and submit an application. Lotteries are held once a month to disperse the reconditioned computers. Students only have to apply once to be entered in each month’s lottery. No lotteries are held during summer and winter breaks.

This program is sponsored by Manchester Community College, MCC Foundation and MCC’s Computer Repair and Share Club.

If you are interested in donating desktops or laptops to the lottery, please contact the club by email. Continuous donations help sustain this program.

Free Microsoft Software

Microsoft provides free software (including operating systems, programming studios, and office programs) to students through its relationship with  Manchester Community College.
