The Campus Activities Board (CAB) sponsors several bus trips each semester. When scheduled, trip details will be listed below, along with the price for students and non-students to participate. Please sign up for trips at the Office of Student Activities (OSA), SSC, L149. Unless otherwise noted, all trips depart MCC from the SBM Charitable Foundation Building driveway. Spots are not reserved until payment is made at the Bursar’s Office and a completed liability waiver is submitted. For all trips, prices are subject to change.
OSA administers the college’s co-curricular program and offers a variety of services that may include leadership workshops, event planning assistance, monitoring the Student Activity Fee fund, games and equipment rentals, student photo IDs, lockers, referrals and general information.
OSA operates the digital signage located throughout the campus. The signage is available to student clubs and MCC departments to advertise meetings and events. Anyone interested in posting information on the digital signage should contact T.J. Barber via email or call 860-512-3282.
Lockers are available for students to use throughout the semester and are located at various locations throughout campus. The cost is $5 for the semester and students must supply their own lock.
College Bulletin Boards
Bulletin boards are used to inform the campus community of campus events, activities, policies and notices. Space is provided for items of an educational, cultural, civic or recreational nature, rather than for commercial or partisan political purposes. The bulletin boards are also offered as a community service to publicize local groups, meetings, cultural events, non-partisan political events, fund-raising events for nonprofit organizations and educational opportunities. If you have something you would like to post, bring it to OSA for prior approval.
Student IDs are available to currently enrolled MCC students and can be used for discounts, identification and more. There is typically a one-time fee of $5 for your ID ($10 replacement fee). After you have paid the $5 fee at the Bursar’s Office, make your way to the AST Information Desk to get your ID. IDs are issued at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Once you have your ID, semester decals are available at no cost from OSA to update your semester status .
During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been no charge for the first ID. The $10 replacement cost is still in effect.
