Microsoft Office MCC Certificate

This certificate prepares students for a position as an Office Administrator or as an Office Clerk. It provides useful skills for anyone working in an office setting performing administrative and office support activities. Extensive software skills, internet research abilities and strong communication skills are required. Position duties may also include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing. Staff in this category may also have the title of Office Administrator, Coordinator or Associate.

According to the Connecticut Department of Labor (DOL), the 2020 average wage for an Office Clerk (General) is $19.32 per hour.

Admission Requirements

Prerequisite: Basic Windows, keyboarding and mouse skills, with some exposure to Microsoft Office will be helpful.

This course meets twice a week for six weeks, 36 hours total.

Exam Fee: $125 for each Microsoft Office Application exam (Please check back for availability of Microsoft Office Specialist Certification exams in 2022.)
