Adventures in Leadership is a one-week enrichment program (9 a.m.-3 p.m.) that uses physical and mental challenges to strengthen skills in leadership, problem solving, teamwork and empathy while promoting a positive self-concept.
This program is for students completing grades 5-10 in the academic year preceding Adventures in Leadership.
There is one week for students completing grades 5-7 and one for students completing grades 8-10.
For an unforgettable experience, come spend a week with our facilitators, professional educators and coaches on the Manchester Ropes Challenge Course. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills through a series of fun, challenging adventure activities that will change your life forever! With a focus on safety first, participants will join with others in overcoming group challenges while pushing their personal limits. The course is run by highly trained, experienced Ropes Course personnel that know how to awaken your inner leader!
This course meets at the ropes course in Veteran’s Memorial Park (180 Hillstown Road, Manchester) which is across the street from the MCC campus. On rainy days, the program will meet in room GPA GP126 and the gymnasium on campus at MCC. On the first day of class, please meet on campus in room GPA GP126. Students, please wear sneakers and comfortable clothing that permits movement. Please do not wear any jewelry. Pack a lunch and drink each day.
