Registration is open for Manchester Community College’s winter session, which begins December 28, 2020 and runs through January 13, 2021. Students can earn up to four credits per course – at a very reasonable cost – in three weeks.
MCC’s graphic design curriculum incorporates professional-level software to train students on the same technology they will be using in the workplace.
Besides the degree and certificate programs, courses required for a major in visual fine arts at MCC may also satisfy general studies requirements in other majors.
Funds from the grant will cover the cost to purchase and install tooling and software for the college’s metrology lab.
The six-week course is offered at no cost to students. It starts Monday, October 5 and runs through Wednesday, November 11. To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED, and their employment must have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
These short-term courses – some are just two sessions — run through December on an ongoing basis. They are designed to provide people interested in shifting careers or boosting their current employment with a quick path to in-demand computer skills.
MCC’s precision manufacturing certificate is designed to provide students with a valuable skill set in just six months.
The free 75-minute workshops — covering effective resume writing and interviewing tips — will be conducted by WebEx and are open to the public.
Godere is responsible for the campus physical plant and is in charge of custodian and maintenance services for all of MCC, which includes 500,000 square feet of buildings and facilities.
