(New Student Orientation and Advising Seminars)
Seminars are scheduled via online registration only.
The first step to a successful college career is attendance and active participation in a new student orientation program. Manchester Community College's (MCC) comprehensive program will provide you with the necessary information needed to have a smooth and successful transition to college life. The primary goal for Cougar Class is to provide various opportunities for new students to learn methods for academic and social success at MCC.
Cougar Class is designed to support incoming students with:
- Meeting other new students and current student leaders
- Becoming familiar with the student affairs staff, along with the services available on campus
- Learning the importance of displaying civility, respecting diversity and minimizing risky behaviors
- Course selection
- Student ID creation
- Campus tour
- Services available to students inside and outside of the classroom
All new and transfer students (full-time and part-time students and international students) are expected to attend one of the Cougar Classes listed on the registration page linked above. In addition, during your time at Manchester Community College, you are expected to participate in at least one student club and/or college governance committee. You can see an up-to-date listing of clubs and committees on the Student Club Interest Form.
